Guessing that the motor was 80pounds / 24volts or 112pounds / 36volts. I am wondering if my 2000 Hydra Sport, weighing in around 7500 pounds, is too heavy for Spot-Lock fishing. Seems a bit “chubby” according to motor specs I have seen. Motor Guide and Minnkota have those type motors that do "spot lock". SOOOOO, you can have Lowrance, Humminbird, Garmin, Raymarine or any other brand. IF you want the sonar/GPS units to connect to the trolling motor, then it would have to be Lowrance/Motorguide or Humminbird/Minnkota.
